The Community Resources for Youth page includes links to resources available as pdf files and to websites which list resources for local Greater Victoria area youth:
- Healthy, Safe and Caring Schools Resource Guide 2009 (pdf file*)
This guide is designed to enhance the collaboration between schools, students, educators and the community. Local youth serving community agencies are listed with a description of their school resources including presentations, workshops, and speakers. Also included are sources for Canadian and local school grants and funding.
- In Your Grasp
This database of resources for B.C.'s family serving agencies allows you to search by service area, region or community. It was designed for use by the service agencies, the general public, foster and adoptive family communities and the Ministry of Children and Family Development.
- NEED Community Resource Database
NEED maintains a comprehensive online database of over 1200 community resources. The agencies listed are searchable by area, keyword, and category. Organizations can submit information online to be included in the database.
- Victoria's Youth Associations
This is a listing of youth associations with phone numbers.
- VIHA Community Services Directory
This comprehensive database of community services lists contact information and services for each provider and is searchable by geographic area and keywords. To obtain a list of local youth services providers, choose South Island, then the local muncipalities and search on the keywords, Youth Services.
- Where To Call For Help (pdf file*)
Where to Call for Help lists phone numbers of community agencies providing resources for youth. This list has been recently updated for 2009 - 2010.
